Description

-The EH10 was Japan's first two-body connected, H-class (8-axis drive) electric locomotive, with a prototype vehicle appearing in 1955 (Showa 30).64 cars were manufactured and debuted around the completion of full-line electrification of the Tokaido Main Line. As a result, it has become possible to continuously pull a 1200 ton freight train.
-It was called a mammoth locomotive and continued to play an active role as a representative of the Tokaido Main Line for the rest of its life, but due to its deterioration, all cars retired in 1981 (Showa 56).
