-As a variation of the renewal EF81, we will commercialize the Hokutosei color that is still popular.
-EF81 was newly made as an electric locomotive that can be operated through three types of electrified sections after 1968 (1968), and was active in the Sea of Japan Transit Line, Joban Line, Kanmon area, etc.
-In 1988 (1988), the sleeper limited express [Hokutosei] was selected as a towing machine between Ueno and Aomori, and in October of the same year, as a further image of [Hokutosei], the limited express operation machine was red No. 2 silver. It became a paint color containing shooting stars, and it played an active part as a [Hokutosei] tractor until the summer of 2010 when it replaces EF510.
-A part of the EF81 series is indispensable because it is still used and used for towing [Cassiopeia Cruise].
-It is recommended as a tractor for the 24 series [Hokutosei] DX formation, as well as a traction machine for the Cassiopeia cruise and the container train seen on the Joban Line.
