The VF-171EX is a reworked prototype from Alto, now featured in armored specifications.
Released in 2021, the movie Macross F: The Labyrinth of Time brought renewed attention to the Macross F franchise, which has maintained its popularity even after the TV series concluded in 2008. In this release, alongside the VF-25 Messiah, the VF-171EX Nightmare Plus, piloted by Alto Saotome, has been reintroduced with an armored configuration.
This kit is a snap-fit model, meaning no adhesive is required for assembly. It includes armored parts and a range of accessories, including a MED particle anti-gravity gun for anti-vagula, a large anti-ship missile, mid-range aerial missile AAMM-05D, the Sentinel FXA-60A high-speed armpit rocket pod, and the short-range high-mobility air-to-air missile L.A.I/AAMS-02A with three types of armor.
