[Explanation]
- In 1981 (Showa 56), the 8810 series appeared on the Nara line leading from Osaka to Nara through a long tunnel in Ikoma mountain. Attaching a decorative board of stainless steel around the front head light, it has become popular as a vehicle with different image from the conventional commuter car. The control unit is equipped with the same field chopper as the Osaka Line 1400 system previously manufactured and looks similar but the 8810 series is wider by 60 mm width from the difference in the vehicle limit at the time, It has become a hem squeeze by that much. The paint color was born with a single-color standard of the commuter type at that time, but since the year 1986 (Showa 61), all cars have been changed to the current standard of maroon and ivory coloring separately.
