――The Takanami-class [Onami] is the second general-purpose escort ship equipped with a 4th generation helicopter following the [Murasame] type. ASRock and Sparo one launchers are concentrated.
――In addition, the ship type is considered stealth, and has increased water running ability compared to the Murasame type.
--Completed on March 13, 2003, it has been deployed to the Yokosuka No. 2 Escort Corps.

-With the [Murasame] type as the basic parts, 127 mm cannon, front launcher, front bridge platform, and rear structure have been newly added.
