-The pioneer 151 series of modern limited express trains, nicknamed [Kodama] and [Business Limited Express], appeared on the Tokaido Main Line as the Moha 20 series in 1958 with an 8-car train, and the title of 1959. The name was changed to 151 series due to the revision of regulations.
--In the June 1960 revision, the passenger car limited express [Tsubame] was changed to 151 series. The Parlor Carcro 151 was newly manufactured as a vehicle to replace the observation car, which was also a symbol of the predecessor passenger car formation, and it became a luxurious formation incorporating 5 first-class cars, connecting Tokyo and Osaka in 6 hours and 30 minutes.

--The [bonnet type], which became a hot topic this spring (2010) due to the abolition of the express [Noto], is the 151 series that was the founder. The 151 series made a spectacular debut in 1958 as Japan's first limited express train [Kodama] (Moha 20 series when it first appeared). It connected Tokyo and Osaka in 6 hours and 50 minutes, and the same section was added, which was very popular. By 1964, when the Tokaido Shinkansen opened, the number of trains had grown to 12 cars, and the limited express that connects Tokyo-Osaka-Sanyo region with [Tsubame] [Hato] [Fuji] [Uzushio]. It became a train.

--The 151 series [Kodama / Tsubame] released as the second edition of the Legend Collection is now available as a set with the prototype of the formation of 1963-4, which was the peak period.
