――The EF60 is an electric locomotive that appeared in 1960. It replaced the old electric locomotive and was mainly used for towing freight trains.
--The 0th generation was initially painted brown, but later changed to a general blue color.
--The EF60 500 type was used in common with the general type after the appearance of the EF65 type, with 14 cars appearing in 1963 as a quote for the sleeper limited express train.
--The paint of the 500th generation was changed to a general color in later years, and some of the vehicles with one headlight were remodeled to two sealed beams.
