Description

fter thoroughly analyzing chassis-motions of a car during driving time which had affect edits operability, we laidout a center drive which optimized the balance between the front and the rear regarding the weight and the driving torque. The overwhelming drivability brought by the optimal combination of roll center, pivot axis, pitching balance, weight distribution and all other values broke the common sense of today’s touring cars that tends to be peaky and realized both stability and speed.

This model accelerateda high-traction with the front and rear suspension arms which was extended for 2mm while having the minimum pitching motion that also heightened the kinematic performance important for accurate cornering, and acquired the controllability throughout the cornering and reduced the burden on the driver.

Center bulkhead layout with front and rear isometric belts. Driving stability is greatly enhanced by suppressing pitching movement. The turning axis of the chassis is also slightly forward due to the balance of weight, making it possible to turn quickly as the center of gravity and the turning axis come closer.

If you give priority only to the rotation speed, may be worried about the feeling of stall in cornering, but with the BD10, the front and rear suspension arms are each extended by 2 mm to ensure high traction. By securing the vector that moves the machine forward, the cornering speed is increased to the utmost.

The front side of the large separated upper deck. Considering the rigidity balance due to the motor mount being closer to the front than before, the setting is to increase the grip feeling at the front. If you want to focus on rear traction, fix the cross plate post and upper deck to increase rigidity and achieve a stable steering feel.

The rigidity of the chassis can be finely set with the front cross plate post, the center motor mount, and the rear stiffener connected via the stiffener plate.

The front side of the motor mount and both sides of the rear stiffener have a floating structure that does not touch the chassis, and a clearance that does not hinder the twisting of the chassis when not fixed is secured. On high-grip road surfaces, etc., chassis rigidity can be increased by fastening screws with a 0.5mm aluminum shim.

The center pulley uses a large diameter 20T that does not burden the belt. It is a cantilever type with little friction as before, but the post is integrated with the motor mount, and the shaft diameter is increased to increase rigidity and drive efficiency

AXON’s newly designed oil shock for BD10. The cylinder is coated with a newly developed HVF coating that has increased durability, allowing accurate and smooth operation to be maintained.

The main point of the shock operation is the O-ring on the lower side of the cylinder, but the BD10 has adopted a dual O-ring system that sets it apart from conventional shocks. The main O-ring is supported by a thin large-diameter O-ring. By not tightening the main O-ring, the pressure in contact with the shaft is stabilized, and it has become possible to prevent oil leakage while maintaining smooth operation. In addition, the shaft guide also has a tapered O-ring surface to promote O-ring centering.

The O-ring is an oil bleed type with oil applied in advance. By minimizing the difference between the new condition and the shape when used, the stability of shock operation and the reproducibility of the setting are enhanced.

The stabilizer bar is also made by AXON. Optimum torsion bar for RC cars The optimum “Torsion bar spring steel” has been adopted to optimize the torsional moment. It has achieved unprecedented cornering performance and stability.

The kit does not include body, wheels, tires, motor, batteries ,pinion gear, and other R/C electrics.
