-The 315 series is a commuter train that will be available in 8-car formation in 2021 and will start operating in 2022.
- The same series was developed for the purpose of replacing the conventional 211 series, 213 series, and 311 series, which are in the renewal period.
- With the start of the same type of service, the [local] [rapid] between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa on the Chuo Main Line has been unified into an 8-car train including conventional vehicles
-The same series will be made sequentially after 2022, and the [local] [rapid] between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa on the Chuo Main Line will be standardized for all trains.
-All seats in the car are long seats. The design is based on the concept of a comfortable moving space.
-In addition to the Chuo Main Line, the same system is scheduled to be introduced on the Tokaido Main Line and the Kansai Main Line, and a 4-car train is scheduled to be introduced.
