――The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of Japan's leading mountain sightseeing routes that runs through the Northern Alps at an altitude of 3000m. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of all lines in 1971.
--The Kanden Tunnel, which connects Ogisawa Station, the starting point on the Nagano Prefecture side, to Kurobe Dam Station, crossing the prefectural border with Toyama Prefecture, has been operated as a railway business by trolleybus (railway train) since its opening in 1964. However, the trolleybus service was terminated and the railway business was abolished only in 2018, and from 2019, the route bus service was started by electric bus.
――All cars of the 3rd generation 300 type, which was the last trolleybus, have retired, but since November 2020, car 301 has been preserved in the Omachi City Trobus Memorial Hall located in front of Ogisawa Station.
