――The 119 series is a vehicle that appeared in 1982 as a replacement for the old national train on the Iida line.
-Although the appearance design is based on the 105 series, semi-cross seats have been adopted for the seats.
――All cars were manufactured without cooling, but since 1986, they have been remodeled for cooling.
--Since 2011, the replacement with the 213 series 5000 series and the 313 series 3000 series has progressed, and in March 2012, the regular operation on the Iida line was terminated.
――Some trains were transferred to Echizen Railway, and after remodeling, commercial operation started in February 2013.
