Description

J.N.R. Diesel Locomotive Type DF50 (Late Type, Brown)

[Actual vehicle guide]
--The DF50 type is an electric diesel locomotive manufactured for the purpose of replacing the steam locomotive of the sub-main line.
――At the time of manufacture, the paint was brown with a white belt, but in the mid-1960s it was changed to a paint mainly of vermilion, which later became the standard paint for diesel locomotives of the Japanese National Railways.
――It is located all over the country except Hokkaido, and it was also used for towing some sleeper limited express trains including freight trains, but retired in 1983 due to the expansion of DD51 type and the progress of electrification of the line section used.
――The air filter cover on the side was initially cross-shaped, but after Units 56 and 557, it was changed to a Yoroi door type, and in later years it was replaced with a cover different from the one at the time of manufacture in some vehicles.

[point]
--For the first time, Tomix locomotives will use the [KM Head (R)], which looks silver like a real car even when the headlights are off.
-<HO-209> is painted brown and the side filter cover reproduces the appearance of a Yoroi door shape for the first time with Tomix.
――The spoke wheels, which are also a feature of the actual vehicle, will be sharply reproduced as wheels that can be energized.
