[Actual vehicle guide]
- The 485 series is a limited express train for both AC and DC that represents the Japanese National Railways.
-When the 485 series that was active in [Hitachi] was placed in the Katsuta Train Depot, vehicles were collected from Aomori, Sendai, Mukomachi, Minami Fukuoka, and Kagoshima, and there were many early-type formations other than the Salo 481 type. Because of this, the appearance reminiscent of the golden age of express trains became a hot topic.
-The Kuha 481 type transferred from the Kyushu area has a [red + cream belt at the base] skirt and the bonnet `beard`, which represents an AC 60Hz exclusive formation despite the AC 50Hz section north of Toride on the Joban Line. It was active for a while with its characteristic appearance omitted
