[Actual vehicle guide]
- The 103 series is a commuter train that appeared in 1963, and more than 3,400 cars were manufactured and are still active today.
- The emerald green 103 series was introduced on the Joban Line from 1967 and on the Narita Line from 1973.
- In 1971, due to the double-tracking of the Joban Line, it was once an 8-car train, but in the following year, it was returned to a 10-car train to improve congestion.
-In 1973, when the Narita line was electrified, additional equipment was added due to transfers, and at this time, the top number of the Kumoha 103 type was transferred and attracted attention.
- October 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of electrification between Abiko and Narita.
