Description
TD Marder III (7.62cm PAK36) - w/German Field Maint Crew
About the Sd.Kfz.139 Marder III During their invasion of Russia in 1941, the German army discovered that their tanks were inferior to the Russian T34. While new tanks were developed and existing tanks were upgraded as a countermeasure, interim solutions were sent into action. One of these was the Sd.Kfz.139 Marder III, which was a captured Russian 76.2mm field gun that was modified and mounted onto a Panzer 38(t) chassis. These tank destroyers saw action on all battlefronts and provided reliable service until the end of the war.
